Geography
Geography teaching at Churchend Primary Academy is aimed at inspiring in the children, a life- long curiosity and fascination about the world and its people.
At Churchend, our curriculum is designed so that children will make strong progress in Geography.
Through carefully planned and sequenced units of work, pupils will be able to recall key geographical knowledge as well as having an understanding of the location, environment, human and physical features and economical factors of different parts of the world.
Throughout their primary school journey, Churchend geographers will take part in fieldwork projects and trips that will help build on the geographical skills as well as their local area knowledge. The Geography curriculum has been designed so that key skills and understanding are built upon and revised so that knowledge is embedded in long-term memory.
