Year 2 EB

Welcome to Mrs Burridge's Year 2 Class

Year 2 Summer Term I 2017 Information Letter

Dear Parents and Guardians

A warm welcome back to you all, we hope you enjoyed the Easter break and festivities and are ready for an exciting term ahead.

As you are aware, this term, in the third week of May, we will be completing our SATs tests. All the relevant information can be found in the separate letter regarding these tests.

Hot Weather

As we are hoping to see some more of the sunshine, please could you ensure that children are sent into school with a hat and water bottle every day. If they do not have a hat, they will not be able to spend their lunchtimes outside. We recommend that you leave a hat in school with your child so that they are easy to hand. If you would like them to be wearing sun screen, please apply it before school in the morning.

Reading Records

Please make sure that all reading homework, in the reading records, is completed to a high standard and up to date. We have been really impressed with the quality of some of the pieces in the reading records, it is clear to see how much effort and time many of your children have taken in completing these to the best of their ability. All of the activities are able to be completed at all reading levels so please ensure your children are completing every task. If your child is reading other books at home, please do not feel limited to only completing activities based on your child’s school reading book. We are always happy to see that children are reading other genres and authors at home.

Parent Helpers

A big thank you to everybody who has already been so kind and given up their time to come in and help us. This is really greatly appreciated. If anybody has any time to spare, you are always welcome to help as there is such a lot to do at this time of year.

See your child’s class teacher for details.

Please find below the combined studies overview for the term ahead.

Thank you again for your continued support. It is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Miss Pickford and Mrs Burridge
