If you are looking to get back to work, this might be helpful.
Parent Employment Wellbeing (PEW) is a new project from Reading Voluntary Action that offers free, non-judgemental, confidential, one-to-one information, advice, guidance and support - tailored to you and your situation.
The project is delivered by RVA’s School and Parent Engagement Officer, Anna Chapman and is funded by the European Social Fund and the Education Skills Funding Agency.
Anna can help you to:
- discuss your needs and aspirations for work
- identify any challenges and barriers to your wellbeing and achievement
- explore your options and opportunities
- know about the services and support available to you in Reading
- progress towards and into training, courses, voluntary work and employment.
So if you are a parent, over the age of 16, not in employment, not furloughed and living in the Reading area, and you are interested in this support, please contact Anna Chapman by emailing her at anna.chapman@rva.org.uk

A two week holiday means you cannot get more than 94.7% attendance in that year and you will miss 50 lessons. That's a lot to catch up on!
Holidays or leave of absence taken in school time are not authorised .
When your child arrives late at school, he or she misses the teachers instructions and the induction to the lesson.Repeatedly being late can have a significantly negative effect on children's confidence and learning.
