Ufton Court

Ufton Court Residential - December 2018

Elephant class had a fantastic stay at Ufton Court this week. The children had the opportunity to live as Tudor constables, investigating the 'strange goings on' at the manor house. Were the Perkins family harbouring a Catholic priest, and running banned religious services at home? It was our job to find out!

Activities included photo-mapping the house and grounds, making and firing bows, exploring the Tudor portraits hanging around the house, playing Tudor games and finding out how Tudor people used herbs. Not forgetting, of course, attending a magnificent Tudor feast in authentic costumes - complete with dancing and yummy food!

The children ate and slept well, and were praised by the Ufton Court staff for their excellent manners and enthusiasm for all tasks. Well done Elephant class.
