Practical fun with Maths

We have had lots of fun learning in maths and carrying out some practical activities to help us do this.

To help us understand difference we used playdoh to make wriggly worms of different lengths, we measured them using multilink. This helped us to work out the 'difference' in their lengths.

When practising using positional language we used a number line with number tiles. We  stood on a number and then gave each other instrcutions such as, "move backwards 5 squares" or "move forward 3 squares" We then had to work out what number we would land on using our adding and taking away skills. It was lots of fun!
