I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and welcome all our families to the new decade.
We start the new decade on a strong footing financially with healthy reserves and a good cash flow. Education cutbacks continue to make balancing the budget challenging but we continue to offer the best possible education for our children. Thank you to everyone who has contributed towards fundraising or who has submitted donations. We have also been very fortunate to receive £1000 from ASDA through the green token, charity collection. Thank you to those who supported this.
We have made a good start to the academic year with four months of rich and diverse learning experiences for the children. We continue to aim high this year and encourage the children to immerse themselves in all that we offer, both in the classroom and outside of it. In order to get the maximum out of their education it is imperative that our children maintain high rates of attendance. We are working closely with our Education Welfare Officer to ensure all children attend school above 96% of the time.
Parents Relationships and Sex education Forum on the 22 January 2020. All are invited to attend to find out about the implementation of this part of the curriculum in September 2020.
Parents Consultations on the 5th and 6th of February.
We continue to focus on our school values and our Value of the Term is Positive Actions. We are trying to be a more tidy school, improving our awareness and ability to support our planet through our Eco team and we are focusing on positive habits .
Clubs start this week and we look forward to seeing the children at these after school activities.
Have a great year
