We are facing an unprecedented challenge of our time and Churchend School is prepared to support the key workers and critical workers of our community, who will be saving lives and working on the front line to keep things going. The school will maintain all its services and be open for children of these workers, to ensure that they are able to carry out their important work, and we will also be supporting vulnerable children and families. Please communicate with the school should any needs arise. No child should be left without food or care.
However, the government have made it very clear that everyone will be safer self-isolating and wherever possible, if children are safe and cared for at home, they must be kept away from school and any social gatherings.
For further information please read below.
From Friday 20 March schools, childcare and other educational settings are closed for everyone except:
· children of critical workers
· vulnerable children
We have published guidance for parents and carers:
If parents’ work is critical to the coronavirus response, their children will be prioritised for early years and education provision.
The Government has published a list of critical workers:
Please cascade the above information to parents and carers where possible.
