What a fantastic afternoon! We started our Holi celebration around the campfire, where we put our old rubbish onto the fire ready to start a new. We enjoyed eating popcorn around the bonfire as we learnt about some of the traditions of Holi and how it is a celebration of good over evil. We heard of a young cheeky boy called Krishna who would spray water and coloured powder at the milk maids. The children then got to make a colourful mask and ribbon bracelets. We danced to some Bollywood music. Outside we threw beautiful coloured powder in the air and on our clothes and skin. We enjoyed getting one another covered in powder and squirting the children with water. The children had so much fun they didn't want to go back in at the end. Everyone got into the spirit of Holi which is having fun whoever you are!
