The RSPB run an annual survey of bird health and this year Churchend School rose to the challenge in the name of citizen science. Bird populations are a great indicator of the health of the countryside. That's why it was so important to take part in the Big Garden Birdwatch Survey to keep an eye on the ups and downs of the wildlife in our area. Children spent one hour over the weekend of 24-25 January counting the birds in their gardens and the local area. The pictures below are just some of those who got involved, supported by their parents.
